It is the beginning, we might see more from Pakistani. I am always wondering, why Hamid Karzai and his administration resist against any putting fence on Afghan-Pakistan border. When we have potential enemy in Pakistan, let do it. It will be safe our border.
Let me put in this way, why we don’t recognize the current border as permanent border with Pakistan. It will solve all problems interfering by Pakistan. Border is a joint responsibility..
Why Hamid Karzai keeps blocking Pakistan’s moves to fence the border? Why he doesn’t accept joint patrol of security forces from both sides? Is it because:
a) he will have no one to blame? Or
b) he won’t be able to take refuge in Pakistan when life gets tough (like he did for two decades when his country men were suffering)?
Hamid Karzai might have a dream of joining the people of other side of the border as GREAT EMPIRE OF PASHON. I would say, this is just a dream that Pashto people will never gain it. So, let’s be realistic and accept the border and solve the problem for ever. Pakistan does not want anything more than having permanent border with Afghanistan.
