I can’t say anything about other Afghan embassies but after watching our embassies activities in London since 14 years I am able to say the following thing honestly and them it is up to my Afghans to make their judgment.
1:- When I arrived in London in 1994 our embassy was very similar to a jewelry shop selling precious stones like zamarud and etc, for extinction of passports no form hade to be filled up, only 65 pounds were needed, most employees didn’t know why they are there.
2:- In 1996 when Taliban overthrown Rabani-Masoud regime, the situation got worse our embassy’s staff from A-Z new that their days are numbered and started looting, our embassy was converted to a residential house, you could see young embassy employees taking their girlfriend in to it for…………
3:- From 2001 until the time of Dr Spanta the situation was the same as before. One day I saw an Afghan boy of about 18-19 years in a buss, showing his Diplomatic passport to his Iranian friend and saying ( You see my passport? I can get any kind of girl just by showing it to her.) And them the Iranian boy surprisingly asks ( to kon koshad diplomati?) means are you a diplomat with the big ass?
Now let me tell you few things about the situation after the time of Abdullah the GREAT. In 9 months time the income of this embassy was timed 203 during the time of Dr Spanta, In February 2007 it was officially announced by ministry of foreign affairs that, Afghan embassy in London joint group of our those embassies that produces income. (Dear brothers doesn’t this mean that Abdullah and his employees were thieves and burglars?)
Now when you go to our embassy, form a neutral eyes you will definitely see a better environment, minus some members of shora-e-nezar ( the burglars) and positive progress can be seen every day.
I want ask those who wrote this open letter. Were you asleep at the time of Abdullah the great?
