At the beginning of this year I had a trip to Kabul with a transit stay over Dubai for 4 hours; during my stay in Dubai airport I was watching a debate on BBC, about world’s economy in which top world’s economists participated including Dr Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai, I felt very proud watching Dr Ahmadzai coming up with very strong arguments, convincing answers and impressive speech. It made me optimistic of my country’s future. But when I’ve arrived in Kabul, things were very different and confusing; some people called Dr Ahmadzai the thief, others called him corrupt and stupid. Also some people claimed that he embezzled public money. In few days time I came out of confusing state and learnt that, most Afghans think that they know a lot, but they don’t, attacking someone’s personality without having enough grounds is no problem for Afghans and worse of all they don’t appreciate their knowledgeable and great people.
My massage to Dr Ahmadzai is this; leave and forget Afghanistan as soon as possible, don’t you know what happened to other great people in Afghanistan like king Amanullah, Dr Najibullah and others? And remember that Mullah Omar, Hekmatyar, Marshal Fahim, ect know Afghans better than you and can deal better than you with Afghan issues.
And my massage to those Afghans who launched propaganda campaign against Dr Ahmadzai is this; brothers! With this kind of sick way of thinking you will never ever see prospers Afghanistan.
