KABUL 04 July 2013 (IRIN) - Despite a surge in efforts to eradicate poppy farming, the country’s opium production is at close to record levels, prompting calls for a change in policy - from analysts, as well as farmers impoverished by attacks on their livelihood due to the current poppy policy.
