We all know wherever Juma Khan goes he brings with himself a bitter agenda of creating inter-ethnic tension, pain, insecurity and new concern to our peace-loving people. We all are aware of problems he created in Baghlan and Jauzjan provinces when serving as governor. No wonder the honourable people of Kunduz province moved quickly and raised their justifiable concerns to our leadership as soon as the possibility of his appointment as new governor for that province leaked to the media. Kunduzis were lucky and their concerns were dealt with by the central government in time
His new move in the North is not unexpected at all and is not surprising to anybody that he would use any means even at the cost of creating new tensions and threating our national unity establish a popular base for himself
I remember very well that Mr Hamdard in his first days of appointment as Paktia governor made a very bold public statement condeming the large scale of reconstruction in the North and claiming that " A province in the South has not seen the reconstruction scale happened for a district level in the North". This is apparently anything but the truth however the important element coming out of his speech is his motivation to exploit and politically invest on the issue of North versus South divide to improve his personal political fortune as a potential regional Pashton leader. Now he is back in the North and wants to claim and speak for the Northerns again. His satanic motivation could not be more contradictory and immature. But I think we and most people in the North now know him very well and cannot be fooled anymore
Even if his hollow claim was true i.e. that there has been a systematic conspiracy against Hezbe Islami Party leaders in the North to which he belongs, is probably a positive thing and possibly one of the fundamental necessities in achieving peace in North Afghanistan. We all know most of Hezb Islami commanders and leaders in the past and presently side by side to Taliban are involved in raging war, distruction, insecurity and enormous sufferring of our Southern population.
I am certain that the vast majority of our people in the
South would very much welcome the elimination of Hezbi Islami bandits and leaders so they also have a peaceful living. However we in the North are waiting for the day that Mr Juma Hamdard is brought to justice for killing 14 of our dear Shiberghani civilians only for the crime of staging a peaceful march protesting against his corrupt and barbaric leadership style
HOWEVER THE MORE IMPORTANT CHALLENGE AND QUESTION TO OUR LEADERSHIP IS WHETHER THEY CHOOSE TO ALLOW THIS HATEFULL CHARACTER TO IMPLANT EVEN MORE SEEDS OF ETHNIC DIVIDE, CRACK OUR SHAKEN NATIONAL UNITY OR STOP HIM FOR GOOD AND FOR SAKE OF OUR NATIONAL UNITY
